A view down the isle with helix's on both sides
Since the Wilsons last hosted in January 2008 they have completely rebuilt their layout resulting in the Pine Valley Railway mark III. The Pine Valley Railway is modelled on non-prototype SAR. The new design is a double deck design with a double mainline each approximately 27 metres long and a branch line of approximately 52 metres including two helix's of 14 metres each. This time they have paid careful attention to the track work to ensure that the trains run a lot smoother. Scenery is still at a relatively early stage. They have recently converted to DCC. One section of the layout has narrow gauge and dual gauge track work with special homemade points.
